Motor selected and looking into gearing between motor and drive sprockets to convert hi speed (10k RPM) and Low torque to sufficiant pulling power.

Wheel circufrance: 26"
Desired speed of flyer: 100' per minute or (1200" per minute)
Maximum RPM of Wheel: 46RPM pulling <50 lbs
Motor: 10k PRM
Gearbox to convert Motor to Drive Ratio: approx 217:1 (10,000/46)
Gears must be able to withstand normal use without tearing apart.
Looking into metal gears, I want this project to last long.

To test the speed of the motor I will make a RPM only Dynamometer from the VEX system we support. See VEX RPM Dynamometer project.

Power wheel motors were looked into and a gear box will need to be fashioned to handle the converting from high rpms lower torque to lower rpms and higher torque. A drive and wheel sprocket and chain from a Honda 50cc CRF will be used as the end of the drivetrain.

Axles are fixed and wheels rotate on. The wheels are locked on by push on clips which will not hold up during operation. Will need to put better locks on them to keep them inplace. The drivetrain will need to connect to the drive wheel directly.
